Brand new opportunities for 2 Mobile Workshop Engineers:

Do you have a “can do” attitude, able to support innovation and technical advances in the machinery you will be working with developed by this successful and expanding manufacturer?

Are you a competent mechanical/electrical fitter and fabricator who enjoys the challenge of problem solving both with inhouse work and at customers on a project basis?

Can you work closely with their dealers and distributors looking after training, repairs and warranty work and the introduction of new products? Then this new and exciting role is hands-on, customer and engineering focused and just for you -

What you will be doing as the Mobile Workshop Engineer:

• Working at customers premises and in the well-equipped company workshop, you will be building, maintaining and repairing high value agricultural/automotive capital equipment using your mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, welding, fabrication and machining skills.
• Engaging with the design and manufacturing engineering teams you’ll provide feedback on assembly procedures, run and test prototype machines through to liaising with 3rd parties for testing and certification of machines to the right standards of conformity.
• You will be travelling to UK dealers and overseas distributors to provide technical training and support machine warranty work as required

The skills and experience of the Mobile Workshop Engineer:

• Qualified in mechanical engineering, ideally you should also have electrical and hydraulic experience along with strong fabrication hands on skills gained in a lean manufacturing engineering environment
• With excellent communication skills you will have great customer skills, be level headed and able to influence and negotiate to ensure validity of the work undertaken then be able to produce reports so sound computer skills are essential
• Comfortable with customers you’ll be professional and demonstrate initiative, in the workshop an involved team player, so problem solving, decision making, attention to detail and the ability to work to deadlines are all essential qualities
• You’ll need a valid UK driving licence, a B+E towing licence would be very desirable.
• With a flexible work approach you will be able to travel as required, with up to 4 nights away per week. Workshop hours are Monday – Friday 08:00 to 16:30. Able to respond to out of hours emergencies if required.

Salary and benefits: c£25,000, profit share, pension and 21 days + 8 days bank holiday, use of company vehicle
