Part Time (16 hours) Accounts Assistant required for our retained client who is a key supplier to a number of industries including pharmaceutical, life sciences, automotive, engineering and electronics. They work with a number of the world’s leading organisations and the components they manufacture form an integral part of their clients’ product.

Based at the European Headquarters in Glenrothes, you will report directly into the Financial Accountant and join a highly regarded team. The business is currently performing exceptionally well returning excellent profit figures and a significant increase in turnover.

As Accounts Assistant, you will be responsible for European purchase ledger including administration of all supplier payments and preparation of European sales invoicing. You will assist the Financial Accountant in the completion of the monthly management accounts including specific responsibility for supplier related items.

Key Responsibilities:

* European purchase ledger
* Reconciliation of purchase ledger control accounts
* Maintaining and updating supplier records including confidential banking data on our internet banking system
* Reconciliation and control of inter-company account with internal system
* Preparation and control of European supplier payment runs in line with internal approval process
* Assisting the Financial Accountant as required during month end process
* Carrying out daily invoicing
* Pricing control checks via invoicing process

* Has the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
* Is approachable and well mannered
* Has the desire to learn and succeed
* Is qualified to NC level or above in an Accounting/Finance discipline
