Income Officer

Location: Columbus Quay, Liverpool, but will be required to travel to all Group locations

Salary: £28,000 per annum Plus Essential Car User Allowance

An exceptional opportunity has arisen to join one of North West’s leading smaller housing associations as an Income Officer in the Operations Department. Prima Group, an innovative and ambitious organisation, was formed in April 2017 following the merger of Pierhead Housing Association and Leasowe Community Homes.

In June 2017, Prima Commercial was created as a ‘profit for purpose’ commercial subsidiary. The result is a financially strong housing group operating across the North West.

We have developed a new and ambitious Corporate Plan ‘Prima Prospects’ built on customers' identified needs, with targets to deliver new additional homes, new and improved services and significant investment in our existing homes.

About the Income Officer:

To maximise the income of the Group through case management actions with residents in arrears or those identified at risk of non-payment. To ensure that when arrears occur that these are dealt with in a prompt and sensitive manner, making sure that appropriate tenancy support is provided to sustain tenancies, and referrals are made to internal or external services, where first point of support is not appropriate, that can assist with this.

To maximise the income of the Group through debt pursuance of former and sundry debts.

To deliver first class, “front of house”, enquiry and advice service; within a performance management framework; resolving customer enquiries at the first point of contact; to achieve a right first-time service.

Requirements of the Income Officer:

Applicants must be qualified to a minimum of 5 GCSE’s Grade A - C or equivalent qualification with one each in maths and English and hold a full driving licence and have the use of a car and have:

  • Customer services experience in a customer facing role
  • Experience of using housing management systems
  • Experience of using Microsoft office software
  • Experience of debt collection
  • Experience of providing tenancy support
  • An understanding of Housing Management theory and best practice
  • Good understanding of best practice in customer services
  • The successful applicant will have a strong commitment to customer service excellence and be able to demonstrate drive, resilience, self-motivation.
