Job Title: Business Logistics Administrator (J61700)
Location: Derby
Duration: Contract 6 months

Assystem are currently recruiting for a Business Logistics Administrator to be based in Derby on a contract basis. The Business Administrator will be based on our client’s site in Derby reporting to the Team Leader of the Central Business Management Team.

Assystem are an engineering design consultancy who work on a number of projects that typically encompass the complete design life cycle from enquiry through to commissioning and handover of the final project requirements; many involving new and novel solutions to today’s engineering problems.

Job role:
The Administrator will report to the Business Controller and will undertake a range of Business Management and administrative activities required to support the business unit.

As a Business Administrator your main responsibilities will be to:
- SAP generation of purchase requisitions and processing of certain indirect SAP purchase invoices, typically temporary labour.
- Manage office supplies; ordering of stationery and consumables and assisting with the control /allocation of IT assets (PC's) and user support (password resets, network file storage and quotas)
- Support preparation and provide data across SQCDP for the monthly Business Reviews and Strategy reviews.
- Support the creation of financial data packs for the Cost Centres within the Business Unit and support the Business Manager/Controllers in reporting financial performance.
- Report on time booking analysis and deviations across the business, highlighting non-compliance to be addressed by business manager.
- Develop business wide communications on a variety of subjects.
- Support the accommodation strategy of the business unit, including large scale office moves.
- Support IT deployment and asset control within the business unit.

Individual should be organised, able to exhibit discretion and confidentiality, be reliable and prepared to ‘challenge the norm’.

Essential Experience:
- Knowledge and experience in SAP
- Good numerical and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Expertise in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
- Able to manipulate large volumes of data in Excel to provide information and analysis to the business, at times utilising some advanced formulae, e.g. SUMIFs, VLOOKUPs.
- Takes responsibility for accuracy of own work, with a minimal requirement for rework
- Ability to prioritise own work and put in place actions to accomplish urgent new tasks
- Ability to identify and implement improvements to methods or procedures
- Comfortable when asked to undertake non-routine tasks
- Willing to take on additional tasks/responsibilities outside of own role to enhance skills and knowledge

Security clearance:
Due to the nature of work to be undertaken applicants will be required to meet certain residency criteria in order to attain a minimum level of UK security clearance.
