LOCATION: Wisbech, Cambridgeshire

JOB TITLE: Maintenance Engineer

SALARY & BENEFITS: Up to £35,000 per annum depending on experience + 23 days holiday

WORKING HOURS: 4 days on and 4 days off, 12 hour shifts, 6am - 6pm

THE COMPANY: Our client is a world leading vertically integrated producer and marketer of high quality fresh and prepared fruit. This is an amazing opportunity to join a fantastic company who pride themselves in promoting an excellent working environment for their staff. They are currently looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join their team on a full time permanent basis.

THE ROLE: Your role as a Maintenance Engineer will be to repair, maintain and improve all production and associated equipment both mechanically and electronically.

Key Responsibilities/duties of a Maintenance Engineer to include: -

• Applying knowledge and training when dealing with engineering issues within the factory to enable a reduction in machine downtime and improved efficiencies.
• Carry out PPM in accordance with the schedule to optimise production capacity.
• Adhere to all Food Safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain all systems, paperwork and test/conformity records.

THE CANDIDATE: The ideal candidate for the Maintenance Engineer role must have a can do attitude and be a good communicator. You will be able to work well both within a small team and independently with a pro-active approach to your work. You will need to live within a commutable distance to Wisbech.

Key experience essential for the role of Maintenance Engineer: -

• Time served engineering apprenticeship
• Experience within a FMCG manufacturing environment
• Experience within a food production environment is advantageous
• Flexible approach to working hours when needed
• Computer literate
