Direct Group are one of the leading insurance service providers to the UK Finance, Retail and Insurance marketplaces. We currently employ over 500 employees across 4 sites based in Preston, Elland, Doncaster and Hyde. This is an exciting time to be joining our expanding Company as we have grown strongly since formation in 1990, and aim to continue to grow.

We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join an established Finance Team based in Doncaster.


Finance Manager within the claims business unit of the Group. Managing revenue, cash and balance sheet aspects of the claims division across two entities.

Key Responsibilities:

· Overall responsibility to manage the claims business unit financial processes to ensure internal and external deadlines are met.

· Lead and develop claims & validation finance team.

· Production of monthly revenue reporting ensuring recognised within group policy.

· Ownership and review of balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring completeness

· Managing and reporting upon cash collection in relation to revenue.

· Preparation and production of monthly management reporting pack.


To be successful in this business you will be a strong accountant (ACA, ACCA. CIMA)


• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

• Good IT skills and experience of Microsoft Word and Excel.

• The ability to work with detailed and technical information.

• The skill to logically analyse and solve problems.

• Ability to develop new solutions

• Excellent record keeping and management

• Ability to prioritise with good time management skills

• Can work to and meet deadlines

Based in Doncaster but occasional travel to Elland/Preston will be a requirement of this role.

Due to the nature of our industry all successful applications will need to perform a criminal and consumer credit check (Please note that this is a soft credit check and will not affect your credit rating)

We do work a 37.5 hour week with contract hours between 8:30am and 5:30pm Monday to Friday
