Job Position: 31827 - Software Quality Lead
Duration: 12 months rolling, 40 hours per week
Knowledge leader in Software Quality - define, measure & improve appropriate software ways of working, collaborating & communicating.
This lead role will involve extensive collaboration with multiple Automotive teams, and will focus on defining & driving improvements at departmental and project levels
Definition & deployment of project quality & performance measures & reporting across the group
Contribute to the definition of development lifecycles & governance across the group
Guide, support, and lead software teams and improvement groups by helping teams to build-in software management & engineering best practices
Ability to recognise where teams are struggling to build-in best practice into improvements under development, and provide expert assistance where needed.
Ability to collaborate closely with and influence engineers, project managers and senior managers, ensuring improvement needs are articulated and understood, and that teams have defined and are using robust methods to achieve their goals effectively.
Highly skilled & knowledgeable in an array of approaches & methods to set expectations for software project quality & performance, and establish & drive deployment of relevant measures.
Experience with CMMi and/or ASPICE process maturity frameworks, and their relevance to robust embedded product development.
Software (optionally plus Systems) engineering background (for domain appreciation).
Well connected with access to wide network of expertise in good practice, enabling support to be provided to improvement teams where needed.
Rate: Between £25 and £30 per hour on a limited / Umbrella company basis based over 40 hours per week. Some flexibility can be shown on this for outstanding candidates.
