Assistant Principal CEMAST

Salary: £60,000 per annum

CEMAST, Fareham College's Centre for Engineering, Manufacturing and Advanced Skills Training, offers state of the art facilities and has built a regional reputation for excellence in training the next generation of engineers. In November 2017, the College received an 'Outstanding' judgement in its latest Ofsted inspection, making it one of only four general further education colleges in the country to have achieved the highest grade in more than two years. It doesn't stop there; Fareham College was also awarded FE College of Year 2018 and 'Most Improved Workplace' in Britain's Healthiest Workplace Awards 2017.

This is a key role in the College Senior Management Team, working to the Deputy Principal, leading a team of 35 teaching and support staff to deliver outstanding teaching, learning and assessment to over 1,200 full-time students, apprentices and higher education students. We pride ourselves on providing the very best technical and professional training to set our students on the path to exciting and rewarding careers.

We are looking for a dynamic strategic thinker to lead CEMAST and its associated projects. Our award winning centre has led the way in terms of its outstanding provision and close collaborative work with employers. This post is critical in taking the centre forward, developing a curriculum for the future and working with even more employers.

You will be able to demonstrate substantial previous successes, including:

  • Managing a responsive, high quality curriculum that meets both employer and learner requirements;
  • Leading on innovative projects that develop a cost effective curriculum offer and;
  • Developing high performing teams;
