We are looking for expressions of interest from talented, experienced optometrists, dispensing opticians and orthoptists to join our team delivering high quality teaching to Optometry undergraduates at the University of Manchester. In order to be considered for this opportunity you are invited to apply to enter a pool of tutors. Those with the appropriate specialisms will then be selected from this pool according to the varying needs of the program.
You will be a good communicator, with experience in facilitating learning. You will be reliable and will be expected to be able to commit to regular sessions for the duration of the academic calendar:
- October to December inclusive.
- Late January to May inclusive.
We are recruiting tutors with the following specialisms: Please state on application your preferred area(s) of work.
- Routine Eye exam
- Further Investigative Techniques and Enhanced Services
- Low Vision (assessment and follow up)
- Binocular Vision/Paediatrics
- Contact Lenses
You will be expected to participate in training sessions on clinical teaching as part of their professional development.
