Senior Product Development Manager – Investment Banking



Our high profile Banking client currently has an opportunity for a Product Development manager to work on product development implementation projects in their offices based in London.

The purpose of the Product Development & Management team is to ensure that the businesses product offering is efficiently managed, developed and positioned.

Overall responsibility:

Product Strategy and Development:

* Assist the Head of Product Development & Management manage and oversee the product development and design process from the business perspective, including contributing to new product creation, being knowledgeable about relevant target market segment objectives and constraints, product structures, knowing key competitors and contributing to product positioning, pricing and capacity management discussions and decisions.
* Manage the product developments assigned to you from a business perspective linking effectively with the relevant departments

Product Management:

* Regularly reviewing existing products this will involve regular monitoring of performance, AUM and sales flows, TER/Ongoing charges etc. Collaborating with the Fund Providers as required.
* Ensure relevant reports are prepared and presented to relevant Fund Providers & Boards as required.
* Responsible for co-ordinating and overseeing review & drafting of the relevant statutory documents– owning these where appropriate.
* Supporting the Head of Product Development & Management to effectively manage and oversee the development of product strategy.

Skills and experience

Key Skills:

* Analytical, highly motivated and client focused Senior Product Development Manager
* A proven track record for effectively delivering successful fund launches, modifications, mergers and closures across different asset classes - equities, fixed income and multi-asset - including the production of business cases and evidence of strong project management skills
* Would favour experience with UK domiciled vehicles, institutional (including charities) clients. However, some experience of US based structures (40 Act, Bank Collectives) would be helpful
* An ability to manage multiple internal and external stakeholders during the product development and implementation process particularly executive team and board members
* Being a real team player with an ability to integrate quickly into an existing team is essential
