We are recruiting for and experienced Mechanical Facilities Engineer to work for a manufacturing company located in Leeds, West Yorkshire.

* To install, maintain, improve and repair engineering equipment, plant, services and building installations to set levels effectively in compliance with best engineering practices ensuring production efficiency can be met within a safe well-resented facility, whilst complying with current Health and Safety legislations.
* To adhere to procedures and working practices which are in place to cover all routine departmental and company wide maintenance activities and ensure that these are consistently applied and are fully respected.
* To support the maintenance of the buildings and infrastructure in accordance with relevant Legal and statutory regulations.
* To ensure breakdowns are repaired with minimum disruption to production.
* To recommend improvements to equipment to reduce downtime or increase efficiency.
* To ensure accurate up to date records are kept. (Wiring diagrams, Equipment drawings, Programmes, Operating sequence, planned maintenance and Modifications etc.)
* To ensure good levels of customer service- wherever possible.
* Within the function responsibilities- installation, preventative maintenance, failure analysis & action and breakdown cover of all equipment, plant and buildings.
* To ensure full commitment and support for training,communications, environmental health and safety (including IMS), quality policy, house keeping and personal discipline.
* To support and give back up to Facilities Manager
* To wo0rk with both internal and external contacts

* Have a self managing approach to work with a strong Health & Safety approach, with a can do attitude, whilst working individually or as part of a team.
* Engineering qualification achieved via recognised apprenticeship or relevant NVQ Level 3 qualification.
* Have a minimum of 3 years practical experience with good all round knowledge of all buildings disciplines including heating, ventilations systems, refrigeration, mechanical, environmental controls, electrical power and distribution in high volume manufacturing.
* Experience with Hydraulic, Pneumatic equipment.
* Ability to manage and prioritise your own work load.
* Knowledge and experience of HSE legislation.
* Demonstrate a good commitment to quality.
* Have the ability to update machinery, equipment and maintenance logs.
* Willingness to undertake training.

You will be working a Monday to Friday DAY shift 06:45 - 15:15.

You will earn a basic salary of £36,000 / annum, plus outstanding company benefits
