Sewell Wallis are currently recruiting for an experienced Payroll Clerk to join a successful fast paced company based in Leeds on a fixed term contract.

This is a fixed term contract for a period of 8 months, which is to cover maternity leave. It is a great opportunity to expand your experience of working in the payroll sector and enhance your CV.

You will be working alongside the Payroll Manager and assisting the Payroll Department in general. This is a busy role and you will get involved in a variety tasks, such as: -

• Processing starters and leavers
• Pension auto enrolment
• Processing weekly/monthly payroll start to finish
Calculating and processing sickness/holiday pay
• Producing P45s and P46s
• Processing PAYE and NI contributions
Processing any changes to bank details or personal details
• Monitoring and processing overtime
• Checking for any discrepancies and dealing with queries

The ideal candidate will: -

• Have experience of working in a payroll function and assisting with the running of payroll
• Be able to use Sage 50 Payroll
• Have a good understanding of current payroll and employment law legislation
• Be able to calculate holiday/sickness leave
• Have an understanding of pension auto-enrolment
• Be immediately available and able to commit to the length of the contract
