Our client a leading Training College require someone for 8 to 10 weeks with a possible permanent position. To undertake completion of some very specific curriculum development projects over the next 8 weeks, potentially longer. The candidates should have an excellent knowledge of current IT curriculum (networking, software, coding, digital marketing) and be experienced in producing schemes of work, lessons plans and other documents to support the effective delivery of curriculum.

General:
The role of a Curriculum Manager is to raise standards for our client a leading through the wide range of strategies that are available including; securing an appropriate and effective subject curriculum, promoting the use of teaching and learning processes that will enable students to achieve to their full potential and monitor and support the trainers and students to ensure those targets are met, and support with Quality Assurance within the division.

IT Sector/Curriculum Experience/Project Management

Curriculum:
•The Curriculum Manager is responsible for creating assessments, lesson
plans, trainer resources and schemes of work which complies with the appropriate awarding body and overall policies, methodologies and assessment systems of our client.

• The Curriculum Manager is responsible for the organisation and
management of coursework, internal examinations and moderation
•The Curriculum Manager is expected to be an SME and familiar with local
and national developments and be able to advise the senior management
team on these when required
•To take management of specific programmes, including the line
management of course teams and effective curriculum co-ordination and
holding regular team meetings
•To promote and contribute to our client Safeguarding policies and
procedures and work closely with the team to ensure the proper
safeguarding of learners
•To regularly monitor the programmes and learners progression on
programmes in the Curriculum Area and ensure appropriate quality
assurance checks are conducted
•To work alongside the Education Manager to ensure that all learners on
the programmes receive the full range of support to which they are
entitled to, including induction, tutorial support, enrichment and additional
learning support
•Ensure that learning support is effectively integrated into courses
•To develop new and innovative methods of delivery relevant to the learner
needs
•To work with the Education Manager in relation to planning,
timetabling,creating up to date learner handbooks and staffing of
programmes
•Make teams aware of course performance against national benchmarks
•Promote the effective use of E&D and British Values to staff and learners
and embed into the business Curriculum across all programmes
•Be responsible for creating an inclusive, non-discriminatory learning
environment in line with the business Equality policy
•To work with the Managing Director and pursue new market opportunities
in line with the business plan

Staff:
•Motivate staff to achieve high standards of delivery and performance and
support their professional development
•Undertake observations of teaching and tutoring staff when required in
absence of the Quality Manager or Education Manager
•Conduct appraisals and development of staff within the curriculum area
and set annual performance targets
•Manage change effectively and inspire colleagues to ensure effective team
work with a common and clear purpose.
•To undertake staff development and training arising from this or from the
needs of the departments.

General
•Promote the highest standards of Health and Safety themselves and of
other persons practice across all sites within the business
•Undertake training and development likely to improve personal knowledge
and skills as required
•Keep up-to-date with Quality Improvement initiatives and to be aware of,
and meet, service standards for the department
•Propose any ideas that may help to promote and extend the business
reputation and efficient running of the business
•Implement an effective model of standards, professionalism and positive
culture across all teams within the business.

You MUST have an enhanced DBS within 12 months or on the update service in order to be considered
