Job Title: Machine Maintenance Operator/Setter

Location: Southwell, Nottinghamshire

Duration: Permanent

Earnings: £19,750 - £25,000

The Client:

My a two-site business in the UK, they manufacture springs, wire forms, pressings and coils. The company’s main clients are currently in the medical/pharma sector which accounts for 50% of the business. Currently the company turnover is £13 million and with a goal to double in size over the next five years and venture into other industries, this is a great opportunity to join a growing and developing business that boasts an already successful and stable employment environment.

The Candidate & Role:

In the role of a Machine Setter/Operator you will play a vital role in the success of this business and the development and improvement of the site.

* Setting of the machines
* Reviewing the machines during the continual process
* Ensure they manufacture the correct quality of product during shift
* Carrying out quality checks and production inspections
* Ensuring that the tooling is set correctly on the machines
* Ensuring mechanical components on the machine are fit for purpose during shift
* Maintain bearings, belts and lubricate any mechanical components
* Complete admin work such as process stock orders etc

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you will need to demonstrate the ability to offer mechanical skills whilst demonstrating the ability to work within a high-speed production environment.

You will also possess the following qualities:

* Mechanical Fitting/Maintenance experience
* Medical background is desirable
* It’s precision work so you will need dexterity and patience
* Experience in Cams, Shafts, Belts motors and other mechanical machine parts
* Quality checking abilities

Rate of pay: £19,750 - £25,000 you will receive a trainee wage for the first 3-6 months. Depending on your skills and speed of development your rate will then increase to reflect this. You will also receive Pension contributions, yearly bonuses and Holiday Pay

Hours: Employees are contracted to 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday days)
