Job Title: Procurement Manager

Job Type: Permanent

Location: Greater Manchester

Salary: £35k - £45k

My client design and manufacture a range of products supplied to different sectors and they are looking to take on an experienced Procurement Manager on a permanent basis, in the North West area.

The Successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day decision making of Purchasing Goods/ Services required in the UK and Internationally.

Responsibilities & Duties;

* Lead and manage the tender process
* Ensure the tender process adheres to all regulations
* Source appropriate suppliers
* Ensuring optimisation of the procurement spend and effective supplier management
* Leading the operational Procurement team
* Target suppliers existing or new to ensure the quality standards are met whilst attaining lower costs
* Manage responsibilities of all Contractual agreements
* Provide all services to project teams in a timely and cost-effective manner

The Ideal Candidate;

* 5 or more years' experience working within a similar purchasing/ supply chain position leading a team
* Educated to Degree Level
* Experience within an Electronic/ Electrical Manufacturing environment
* Recognised Procurement qualification MCIPS or equivalent
