“Join likeminded engineers and technicians who started their fulfilling new career in rail with a supportive business who are committed to your success.”

YOUR FUTURE STARTS HERE

I’m fortunate enough to work with a rail passenger transport service provider who are passionate about what they do and operate with integrity.

They have entrusted me to find experienced engineers and technicians who are equally proud of their work to join a supportive maintenance team at a progressive depot with ample opportunity to learn and develop in this industry which sees continuous growth and advancement in innovation.

This company will help you shape your career and put you on the path to success. If you consider training and progression as important as being part of a committed and dependable team then this is the role for you.

THE ROLE

Your new career as a Maintenance Technician will start with a comprehensive training programme so you can learn about the rail industry and begin your introduction to rolling stock maintenance and engineering. Your training will continue with specialist tutors and skilled engineers providing you with coaching and instruction until you become an expert in the field.

In the role, you will work in a team on a shift basis to fault-find, inspect and complete maintenance of electrical, mechanical and pneumatic systems onboard passenger rolling stock. Together, you will resolve issues and complete tasks within deadline whilst upholding high standards of safety and quality.

You’ll have regular team briefings on objectives, performance and company news so you’ll always feel connected and know about opportunities across the whole business that may just be your next promotion.

Your starting salary will be £36,000 whilst you complete your initial training rising to £45,000 as you secure your position as a certified Rolling Stock Maintenance Technician. You and your family can enjoy free train travel across London networks and you will be able to take advantage of an attractive final salary pension scheme plus other benefits.

WHAT YOU NEED TO APPLY

The practical requirements for this role is a qualification in a suitable topic (NVQ2 or higher) and experience of maintaining plant, industrial equipment, aircraft, vessels or vehicles.

Personal attributes I’m looking for include enthusiasm for learning, enjoyment in team work and satisfaction in producing quality work.
