Are you an aspiring Accounts candidate mid-way through your AAT, looking for a great new career opportunity offering study support?

We are looking for a highly motivated and ambitious Trainee Management Accountant for a well-established events business near Banbury, with fantastic company culture and career progression.

The Role

The purpose of the Trainee Management Accountant is to build on your studies, with increasing exposure to a range of essential finance support tasks, reporting into the business Management Accountant. They are looking for someone with a minimum of LEVEL 2 AAT and around a year's accounts / finance experience. You will be a willing learner, with excellent numerical ability, attention to detail and an eagerness to continuously improve and develop

Key Roles & Responsibilities (increasing responsibility in the following areas, with assistance from Management Accountant)

  • Production of monthly management accounts
  • Submitting VAT & Corporation Tax
  • Employee expenses
  • Monitoring cashflow & reconciliation
  • Analysis of pricing
  • Assist with year-end
  • Process Direct Debits
  • Other accounting tasks such as processing invoices and balance sheet reconciliations

Skills & Experience

  • 1 year's Finance / Accounts experience
  • Minimum of Level 2 AAT
  • Ambitious and tenacious approach
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Self-motivated
  • Confident decision maker
  • Proficient IT user, able to pick up new systems quickly
  • Good verbal & written communicator
  • Adaptable to change
  • Passionate about building a long-term finance career
  • Excellent initiative and forward planning
  • Attention to detail

Benefits & Other Information

  • Study support provided to complete AAt (after 6 months of employment), with addition support for CIMA thereafter
