Internal Recruitment Manager

Colchester, Essex

My client, a market leader in their field, are looking for an Internal Recruitment Manager to join their HR department and manage their full-cycle recruiting processes.

Ultimately, you will help them build a strong employer brand and ensure they provide a positive candidate experience.

To be successful in this role, you should have experience in sourcing, interviewing and evaluating candidates as an Internal Recruitment Manager within a corporate organisation.

The Internal Recruitment Manager will be managing and administering the entire recruitment/selecting cycle which will proactively develop internal and external relationships. The Internal Recruitment Manager is responsible for initial sign off for recruitment fees but does not have any budgetary responsibility. The Internal Recruitment Manager will also be responsible for coaching and training Line Managers in good practices around recruitment.

Main Purpose of Job:

  • Undertake and manage recruitment campaigns for all positions
  • Upload jobs onto relevant job boards as required
  • Managing any speculative and/or emailed CV's
  • Arranging interviews for candidates and Line Managers based on information agreed between the Internal Recruitment Manager and Line Managers
  • Notifying candidates that they have been unsuccessful throughout each stage of the process
  • Chase Line Managers to ensure they stay on track and within agreed timescales during process
  • Attend any relevant Jobs/Careers Fayres as appropriate
  • Work with Line Managers to determine the most effective methods and costs of recruitment
  • Meet with Line Managers at the start of the process to agree dates & timescales
  • Work with the Line Managers providing appropriate advice to ensure that an up to date job profile is produced
  • Be available to interview in exceptional circumstances only. (e.g. Internal Restructures, Higher Risk scenarios)

Key areas of responsibility:

  • Designing and delivering the internal recruitment strategy
  • Creating innovative recruitment campaigns - enhancing social media presence a key factor
  • Designing competency based interviews when and if required
  • Ensuring hiring processes and interviews processes are clear and effective
  • Working alongside HR and Line Managers to ensure operational efficiency for new starters
  • Promote and build constructive and productive working relationships with internal management.
  • Manage and administer a diverse range of candidate attraction methods
  • Be proactive and visible in the recruitment marketplace
  • Deliver against specific recruitment vacancy targets within specified time frames
  • Regularly review recruitment processes and systems to ensure they are as efficient and effective as possible
  • Ensure a professional and effective recruitment process resulting in new employees being highly engaged when they join the business
  • Communicate interviews with Line Managers
  • Monitoring incoming interest regarding current vacancies communicating effectively with candidates

Knowledge, skills and qualifications:

  • Proven general standard of education, GCSE's (A-C) including Maths/English or equivalent
  • Must be highly computer literate and proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel, PowerPoint and databases
  • Ability to use good research and consultation skills to develop information and proposals
  • Ability to provide creative solutions to complex and sensitive recruitment issues
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to work proactively without supervision
  • Analytical thinking and problem solving at a detailed level
  • Strong facilitation skills
  • Proven work experience as an Internal Recruiter is an essential
  • Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems and databases
  • Ability to organize skills assessment centres (e.g. job simulation activities

Experience:

  • 5 years working as an internal recruiter within a corporate business
  • Hands-on approach to managing the internal recruitment function
  • Advanced knowledge of internal recruitment processes
