Learning Support Assistant
We are working with a large special school on the outskirts of Ashford who are looking to recruit an experienced Teaching Assistant to start as soon as possible. The school caters for students from KS1 - 4 with a variety of needs. The school cares for children who have significant social, emotional and behavioural difficulties due to suffering severe neglect and trauma at the early stages of life
This is a long term, temporary position but will go permanent for the right candidate from January. Your working day will be 8:30 - 4:30, Monday - Friday.
Your key duties as a Teaching Assistant will be to work 1:1 with a students of all ages who have social, emotional and mental health difficulties. The students can have very challenging behaviour so you will need to be patient and previous experience is necessary.
It is essential that you have:
- Previous experience supporting pupils with SEN.
- Previous experience working in a SEN setting.
- Excellent level of literacy and numeracy.
- Excellent behaviour management skills.
- Knowledge of the National Curriculum.
You will be rewarded with excellent rates of pay £400 - £425 per week.
