Overview:The Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) team is currently looking for atalented and highly motivated Data Engineer who can partner withdelivery management to support the business by delivering high qualitysolutions. As a Data Engineer, you will be playing a technical role and will beresponsible for the full development lifecycle of the solution,including detailed design, code development, code reviews, unit testing,build/test support and final deployment activities and post deploymentsupport. Responsibilities: Assessing business rules; Performing source to target data mapping; Designing, reviewing, implementing and optimizing ETL processes; Performing data analysis; Providing development support for existing systems; Troubleshooting data and/or system issues; Building/extending toolsets; Creating/maintaining batch jobs; Creating systems documentation; Provide data analysis and identify data related issues within theData Warehouse environment as well as upstream systems, as needed. Skills and Experience: Strong background working with extremely large data sets in DataWarehousing and Business Intelligence environment Database development in an MPP environment is a must have (Teradatapreferred/desired) Experience in scripting skills to perform data/file manipulation(e.g., PERL) Development background should include experience in core datawarehouse ETL tools; Informatica Power center version 8.5.1 desired. Exposure to no-sql technologies and big data platforms such as Hadoopdesired. Experience in working with Amazon Web Services (EMR, EC2, RDS,Redshift) is desired. Experience in programming with Java is desired. Ability to read and interpret data schemas. Proven ability to create and maintain online and printeddocumentation Proven ability to work cross functionally to deliver appropriateresolution of technical, procedural, and operational issues Must have strong customer service skills and excellent verbal andwritten communication skills Must be able to drive investigations to completion and ensurecustomer satisfaction Must be flexible and motivated to work in a fast-paced environment Must be able to work through ambiguity and turn around options bypartnering with project stakeholders. Must be able to mentor junior and intern members of the team and helpassist and guide them.
