A Perioperative Practitioner is required to join a highly respectable Hospital located in Kent.
The modern styled Hospital provides a range of advanced treatments on the latest generation imaging, and diagnostic technology. They offer treatments such as screenings, surgical procedures, rehabilitation, with specialising in fields like orthopaedics, cardiology and cancer care.

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of £25,000 - £33,000 per annum with great additional benefits such as a contributory pension scheme, medical cover, life assurance, wellness screening, childcare vouchers plus many more.

As a Perioperative Practitioner, you will be expected to join the friendly theatre team in providing Perioperative care for patients undergoing in-patient and day care surgery.

Your main responsibilities will be:

• To confidently undertake theatre practitioner responsibilities;
• Assess patient’s health and well being across a complex and changing caseload.
• Assist in the delivery of care to meet patient’s health and wellbeing.
• Provide and receive complex, sensitive or contentious information.
• To develop own knowledge and skills and that of others.
• Promote best practice in health and safety and security.
• Assist in maintaining and developing services.
• Contribute to quality improvement.
• Promote people’s equality, diversity and rights
• Apply technology for measurement, monitoring and treatment.
• Acknowledge the risk of Healthcare Associated Infections (HCAI) and understand own responsibility as agreed with line manager in the prevention and control of HCAI.

You will need to have previous Theatre Practitioner experience in one or more specialism, enabling you to provide exemplary planned care for patients requiring operative procedures which could include day case, minor op’s or major surgery within your area of expertise & experience.

To be considered for this role you will need to be an ODP with a current HCPC registration or a Theatre Nurse with a NMC registration.
