Our happy and dedicated team is ready to meet a candidate who is committed to early years’ practice and believes they can make a difference in child’s life.This will be a permanent, full time position. You will be working 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday. The hours are 7:30am till 6:30pm on a rota basis.Funky Owls opened its doors in 2013 and has gone from strength to strength, now servicing over 40 families in the local area. Our ethos is ‘where learning is fun’, and expect all our staff to embody our core values:To create a happy atmosphere where children learn through play and have fun doing soTo provide a comforting home-from-home setting where children feel safe and parents/ carers feel confident in our careTo offer a varied programme of activities through which children can express choices, make decisions and grow in independenceTo create an environment where children learn through discovery and exploration, stimulating their natural curiosity, creativity and imaginationTo ensure our parents and regulatory bodies see us a leading provider of childcare and education, by employing high quality and dedicated staffSome of your responsibilities will include:Support and monitor the statutory framework and curriculum in England to ensure each child develops within a stimulating environmentOffer regular creative ideas and recommendations to your Room Leader and/or management to encourage a wide and varied programme of activities for the children individually and as a group, appropriate to their needs and developmental stage in line with Early Years Foundation Stage frameworkAct as a key person for a group of children as allocated by the management team, ensuring attachment theories are respectedHave a sound knowledge of all the children in the setting and an excellent knowledge of your key childrenFill in all the appropriate record keeping for your key children and ensure they are continually up to dateWork in partnership with parents, consulting and sharing information with them about the needs and progress of their childrenParticipate in parents meetings (minimum of 2 per year) for your key children, ensuring all relevant record keeping is completed to an exceptional standard to support these meetingsSupport your room leader in regularly displaying children’s work and make suggestions for these displays; boards should be updated every 4 weeks with new material relevant to the children’s’ creative activitiesDemonstrate a clear understanding of the cleaning rota and support colleagues in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and tidiness in the nurseryDemonstrate an enthusiasm for researching and implementing new ideas, utilising various resources to support new and exciting suggestions for the nursery and childrenYou will be:MotivatedEnthusiasticEnergeticPassionate about childcareMinimum Level 3 qualified in childcareExperienced in a nursery settingAble to display excellent knowledge and understanding of the EYFSFluent in written and spoken EnglishPunctual and reliableAble to display great interpersonal skills and a team player attitudeWhat we offer:Our aim is to recruit and retain the best people and to provide the training and support that enables each member of our team to perform to their full potential.
