Control Systems Technician
Produce World has an exciting opportunity for a Control Systems Technician to join the team based in Isleham. You will be on a full time permanent contract, working Monday to Friday 08:00 – 17:00, with a competitive salary + benefits. The Control Systems Technician role: As a Control Systems Technician you will actively provide the site with reactive breakdown expertise from an electrical systems and controls fault finding view point. Participating and delivering process development and continuous improvement projects. You will work collaboratively with all colleagues within the business to ensure a strong work and team ethic. Key Responsibilities as our Control Systems Technician: - Carry out planned preventative maintenance, servicing schedules and overhaul of site plant, machinery and equipment in accordance with site schedules and needs - Understand, participate and support the delivery of site performance targets - Participate and deliver engineering projects as scoped with the Head of Engineering - The delivery, action and review of Machinery Risk Assessment and PUWER plans - Energy consumption improvement initiatives - Compile Technical Data and back-up files per asset (Provider of CMMS detail) - Maintain the engineering log and shift hand-over, recording all aspects of work carried out on site plant, machinery and equipment, to include details of faults, remedies, parts used, relevant info and outstanding issues - Observed risks to performance to be highlighted and managed Key requirements of our Control Systems Technician: - Exposure to a hands-on electrical/electronic environment, control circuit design, modification and repair - Food Industry and/or FMCG experience - Proven PLC Fault finding skills – Desirable = Manufacturer specific training with Omron - Technically competent, in-line with Level 3 qualifications in an applicable subject. – Desirable = Time served, indentured electrical apprenticeship, relevant C&G, NVQ, SEMTA, EMTA, ENTRA in applicable subjects - Proven experience of PPM implementation, delivery and control. - Desirable = Has experience with a CMMS, specifically Shire products - Experience of working within a team of engineers – Desirable = Level 2 training in management/leadership - Health and Safety Aware / Qualification – Desirable = IOSH/NEBOSH cert - Strong numeracy and literacy skills / excellent fault-finding skills – Desirable = AutoCAD and / or ability to produce wiring diagrams - Microsoft Office suite – Desirable = Experience with using Navision for purchasing purposes If you feel you are the right candidate for the role as our Control Systems Technician then please click ‘apply’ now!
