THE ROLE: As Operations Manager, you will be responsible for directing and controlling all manufacturing operations in line with business needs along with developing manufacturing strategy and co-ordinating improvement projects. Key areas of accountability for the Operations Manager are: *Management of all manufacturing operations *Development of short, mid and long term strategy to deliver against company objectives. *Development and management of KPI's *Lean initiatives - development & management of improvement projects. *Co-ordination of Engineering functions to support manufacturing operations *Production Planning *Identifying and driving training initiatives *Fostering a lean and quality focused culture THE CANDIDATE: The role of Operations Manager is well suited to a forward thinking and driven production professional. Key attributes should include: *Experience in similar level role managing production operations *Lean experience *A background in engineering would be advantageous *Experienced in managing improvement projects *Strong strategic mind set *Excellent relationship building and communication skills *Proven and passionate leader *Good overall operational awareness with an appreciation for commercial implications of decisions made THE COMPANY: A leader in their field and very forward thinking in their ethos.
