Office Depot has an exciting opportunity for a Salesforce.com Business Analyst to join the team in Milton Keynes. Your job as the Salesforce.com Business Analyst: The Salesforce Business Analyst is responsible for leading the development of new enhancements and changes to the Office Depot European instance of Salesforce.com for both Sales and Services Cloud. The key objectives of the role are to define business requirements, and work with the development team to deliver solutions which support a complex Salesforce.com instance as well as managing the relationship with key stakeholders, users and the wider eCommerce team. The role will involve designing new solutions , resolving business issues and helping to develop the Office Depot Salesforce.com solution to meet the business needs now and for the future. Working closely with colleagues across Europe the role will be accountable for taking business requirements and developing them into solutions within Salesforce.com for both Sales and Services. They will be responsible for creating documentation, data and model preparation, analysis and insight. Delivering advice to internal customers, and closely liaising with development, architecture and other IT teams in order to continuously enhance the Office Depot’s eCommerce delivery capabilities. Your responsibilities as the Salesforce.com Business Analyst: - Support the development of Salesforce.com to create innovative solutions and processes to meet the evolving business needs. Discover ways in which business value can be added. - Design interfaces for specific customer needs (in close collaboration with the eCommerce team), visualise and model output and develop trusted information and true insights. Translate broad business and market needs to define product requirements whilst also serving as the voice of the business and voice of customer (users) in the development & design processes. - Manage user acceptance testing processes, which includes devising test plans, creating test cases, establishing protocols and appropriate testing environments and coordinating software testing. - Creating and maintaining documentation on processes, policies, application configuration and support the development of user guide materials. - Apex and Visualforce experience. Ability to write apex triggers, complex queries, and main functionalities using apex programming. - Gain in depth understanding of systems architecture and interfaces so as to anticipate implications of solution additions, changes, enhancements. - Troubleshoot integration issues with other core systems. - Conduct in-depth analysis of data / reports by combining and interpreting external and internal quantitative and qualitative data, processes and development and by data mining for correlations, trends, outliers and probabilities. - Act as a Salesforce.com Subject Matter Expert (SME) to educate and advise colleagues on relevant data, information and insight. - Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Merchandising, Customer Profitability, and Learning and Development as well as other business teams to articulate the Office Depot Salesforce.com vision identifying scope and priorities. - Keep abreast of new Salesforce features and functionality and providing recommendations for process improvements; evaluate their impact on existing customised functionality. - Participate in the scrum process and implementation of each enhancement as appropriate. - Investigates new ecommerce solutions, and applications and features as appropriate. Your profile as the Salesforce.com Business Analyst: - Three years’ experience of Salesforce Sales and Services Cloud platforms and configuration including workflows, assignment rules, validation rules, , role hierarchy, profiles, sharing, formula fields, approval and escalation rules, configuration of single or multiple user setup, profiles and roles, customisation of objects, fields, record types, page layouts and validations. - Certification in Salesforce Administration ADM201 (Essential). - Certification in Salesforce Advanced Administration ADM 211 (Desirable). - Experience with Salesforce Lightning is essential. - Strategic oversight of database design and management to facilitate end users, including design of workflows and user interfaces. - High emotional intelligence with the ability to relate to department heads. - Forward planner with good time management skills. - Excellent IT skills, particularly with Salesforce and Excel. - Knowledge of Agile principles. - Fluent knowledge of English, spoken and written. Other language skills (Dutch, German, Spanish. Italian) would be beneficial. - Some European travel may be required.
