Job Description

The initial Contract is for 6 Hours per week (Delivery of Foundation Apprentice Programme)

for 2 weeks, leading to a minimum of 15 hours per week from 27th August 2018

Salary: £30.16 - £36.78 per hour (dependent on experience)

West Lothian College are looking to appoint an outstanding Lecturer who will demonstrate the necessary commitment and enthusiasm to contribute to their team. Working within the friendly and knowledgeable team within the Business and Creative Centre, you will be committed to the delivery of high quality teaching and a varied learning experience, focussed on progression and employability.

Applications are invited for the position of Lecturer to contribute to the delivery and assessment of a range of courses from SCQF level 5 to level 9 in Business and from SCQF Level 5 to level 8 in Accountancy. You will develop course materials for online and face to face learning, work flexibly and collaborate effectively with other members of the College.

Applicants should be able to demonstrate that they have experience in all aspects of accounting and business and have knowledge of accounting principles and procedures such as; Double Entry Book-Keeping, Preparation of Final Accounts, Cost Accounting and Management Accounting. The successful candidate will be educated to a minimum SCQF Level 9 in a Business and/or Accounting discipline and will be a highly motivated and professional individual. To be selected, you will be student focussed, enthusiastic, well organised and have outstanding communication skills.

A TQFE or equivalent degree and lecturing experience within the Business and Accounting Sector is desirable.

Salary on appointment will be dependent upon experience. Candidates with limited/no lecturing experience will be placed on the first point of the scale.
