Manual/ToolRoom Machinist – Swindon

Have you got manual machining skills?

Are you a current Manual/ToolRoom Machinist looking to work within first class R&D facilities for a global brand and manufacturer

If so we have an immediate requirement for a Manual Machinist to join the Tool room development team.

The basics:

Role: Permanent

Location: Must be commutable to Swindon and Wantage facilities

Salary: £28,000-£35,000

Shift: Mon-Fri Days 37.5hr week

Benefits: 33 days, pension up to 6% contribution, health care, death in service, onsite parking


With manufacturing facilities, UK and Europe the Manual/ToolRoom Machinist will join the development department.

The Manual/ToolRoom Machinist will deliver a range of components working through the life cycle of a project supporting new idea developments and concepts to aid manufacturing.

Within the role, you will use a range of machine tools including CNC machining, conventional operations, grinding and hand finishing.

The ideal Manual/ToolRoom Machinist will have as many of the following to strengthen application:

- Time Served Apprenticeship
- Competent to run multiple machines – Highly beneficial if the candidate can operate a number of machines
- Competent to set and operate manual machinery

-Strong hands on assembly skills or experience

-A strong mechanical aptitude

- Any inspection experience highly beneficial

- CNC Machining background – beneficial
