Circa £35,000 Per Annum

You’ll be responsible for developing and implementing SHE systems and procedures and supporting the Health & Safety Manager.

THE COMPANY

Their UK operation employs around 1000 people covering existing and start-up operations spanning eight locations including several depots across the country including a vast manufacturing facility here in the UK.

The company have secured a number of high profile orders with full lifecycle maintenance contracts to manufacture and maintain over 200 brand new trains and as a result, will look to increase their headcount to 2000 by 2020 to meet the demands of these contracts.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

You will be an Proactive, enthusiastic individual with a dedicated work ethic, and highly experienced Health & Safety professional within the Manufacturing sector. You’ll be experienced in developing and implementing HSE systems and maintaining and strong H&S culture while supporting the Health & Safety Manager.

ABOUT THE JOB

The position will include the HSE Advisor to responsible for all documentation relating to the requirements of COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations) are compliant with external requirements.

You will be reviewing and updating the SHE legal register as required and managing the risk assessment process ensuring adequate levels of risk assessments are performed and records maintained. Provide recommendations for improvement as part of management reviews.

You will manage the investigation of accidents and incidents, report findings and ensuring actions are complete and promote the effective operation of internal safety and environmental audit programme.

THE REQUIREMENTS

*
Experience of Health, Safety and environmental management in a manufacturing or engineering operation

*
Experience as an internal auditor

*
Practical experience of Environmental permitting, OHSAS18001, ISO14001 and or similar management systems

*
Working knowledge of occupational health issues

*
Qualified to a minimum of NEBOSH Diploma level

*
Relevant environmental qualification (IEMA)
