Senior Capital Markets Marketing Manager

A leading Investment Bank based in Canary Wharf is currently looking for a Senior Capital Markets Marketing Manager for their Global Markets and Commercial Banking team. This is a strategic yet hands on delivery position with significant exposure to the ExCo. It is critical to have a deep understanding of Markets products, FX, Fixed Income (primary and secondary credit and rates), Equities and Global Research. The jobholder is ultimately accountable for providing strategic direction to Marketing at a Global level for their product set. Salary between; £60,000 - £70,000 per annum plus bonus and benefits.

Role responsibilities:

  • Working closely with business and marketing partners such as the campaign teams, they will develop and execute integrated marketing strategies and plans to support revenue maximisation and market share for the strategic product or solution area, in alignment with the broader Global Markets marketing strategy
  • They will ensure any marketing plans for the solution suite fully align and integrate with the divisional Markets marketing plans
  • They will be the subject matter expert on the strategic product or solution area (including FX, Fixed Income and Equities) and within the marketing team, ensuring that the appropriate level of marketing support is provided to these solution sets, and ensure that solutions agenda are incorporated into the relevant segment marketing strategies
  • They will drive and define global messaging and positioning for the specific solution suite in alignment with the broader Global Markets messaging and positioning
  • They will lead the delivery of the marketing plans for the solutions, including sales enablement and internal marketing, leveraging internal and external resources to deliver solution-specific marketing activity
  • They will determine, establish and use appropriate financial and non-financial metrics to assess marketing performance.
  • They will review and approve all global and local tactical campaigns relating to the solution suite to ensure alignment with global marketing strategy
  • They will facilitate and lead the process of identifying relevant industry issues to drive thought leadership / intellectual capital development.

Experience required in the following is essential;

  • Previous experience in aligning geographical marketing strategies
  • A proven understanding of clients and their needs for specific product lines
  • A proven understanding of Markets Products and propositions for FX, Fixed Income and Equities is key to be able to target the right audience.
  • A proven ability to deliver long-term sustainable growth for the returns on marketing spend and with increasing levels of accountability.
  • A significant proportion of the role is to build the strategic capability of the team and establish marketing as business partners to global product teams.

Desirable skills

  • Degree level of qualification in marketing and/or business studies preferred
  • Minimum of 7 - 10 years broad based marketing experience, ideally within a Financial Services or Professional Services based institution
  • Marketing strategy and planning experience in a B2B environment
  • It is critical to have a deep understanding of Markets products, FX, Fixed Income (primary and secondary credit and rates), Equities and Global Research.
