We have an opportunity to join the Connectivity team here at RM Education, working with schools across the UK to provide broadband and online safety solutions that help improve teaching and learning. We’re the fastest growing broadband supplier for schools in the UK with more than 900 schools having joined our connected community since the start of 2016.

We are looking for someone who will share our passion for helping to solve schools' problems. What we do has a real impact and wider benefit to UK education.

As an Apprentice Sales Consultant you will work in a supportive team environment (commission is paid on a team target), generating interest over the phone and engaging with the necessary level of decision makers, identifying the required level of sales opportunities, creating maximum demand for the company’s key propositions and ensuring that every lead is expertly qualified and passed on.

You will work across a variety of campaigns, motivate school leaders to engage them in conversation, and use these conversations to uncover and create new sales opportunities.

As an apprentice, you'll have the challenges of our business plus the support of your colleagues. You will have a real job from day one of starting with RM, whilst continuing your learning with a training provider at a local training centre. Working in a team where you'll get a great insight into how the business works, you'll earn a salary whilst gaining practical work experience within your chosen discipline.

Key responsibilities:

Identifies target markets and opportunities and acts upon these opportunities to create leads for their set of propositions.Visits customers to understand their needs and generates leads based on these conversations.Engages at SLT level wherever possible.Reacts to inbound leads to qualify and progress.Pro-actively calls to make appointments where required.Attends events to represent RM Education.Creates new channels to marketing through strategic relationships.Desired skillsPlanning & organising skills.Results orientation and achievement against objectives and targets.Good written, numerical and presentation skills.Strong alignment to RM's core values: Customer success, high standards, respect for others, innovation and improvement, openness and enjoyment at work.Personal qualitiesA passion for the education sector.Good communicating and influencing skills.Strong team working skills.Flexible can-do attitude with a willingness and ability to adapt within the role.Desired qualifications5 A-C grades at GCSE or equivalent.
