An exciting new post of Research Information System Manager has been created as part of the Library's Collections and Discovery Team at Glasgow Caledonian University.

Based in the award winning Saltire Centre GCU's Library Services support students, researchers and staff across all of GCU's campuses.



Working with colleagues across the University, including Research Office staff, Impact Officers, Research Administrators, Associate Deans of Research, and the Research Librarian, the post holder will ensure the delivery of effective and efficient services to support and develop GCU's research strategy, research data management policy, and contribute to an improved REF submission.



The successful candidate will have a relevant degree and the ability to demonstrate substantial experience of the PURE Current Research Information System or equivalent. They will be responsible for the upgrade, support, and maintenance of the University's CRIS system, PURE, promoting and ensuring the effective use of PURE within the University. They must be skilled in project development and management and able to demonstrate a high degree of flexibility and adaptability. Further essential requirements for this role include the ability to demonstrate excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills as well as being able to demonstrate initiative and a strong commitment to learning new tasks and skills.
