About the role

We are looking for an experienced Head Chef for a large family holiday park based in Devon. This is a fast paced, diverse role, requiring experience in a similar environment. This is a great opportunity to join an established holiday park group with excellent long term prospects.

Key Responsibilities:
*Plan and develop menus including specials in consultation with the GM and
*Park Directors.
*Order supplies/stock as and when necessary.
*Ensure all deliveries are checked in correctly.
*Regularly monitor stock items and waste, and communicate any shortages.
*Practice economy and minimize incorrect usage / waste where possible.
*Regularly price check all items bought for the Park’s catering facilities, to
ensure the purchasing at the best prices available.
*Run service within the kitchen
*Manage a team of chefs and kitchen staff within a professional and well
organised kitchen
*Quality control
*Maintain high standards of hygiene within the kitchen

The Individual:
*Personal Licence holder
*Health & Safety and Food Hygiene certificates
*Previous management experience within a bar/restaurant, preferably holiday park complex experience
*Excellent communication skills
*A good motivational team manager
*A forward thinking problem solver
*Catering qualifications or experience is desirable to monitor kitchen hygiene standards and assist the kitchen with menu planning/budgeting
