Our client designs and manufactures a range of medical devices and disposables which are used by healthcare professionals and consumers worldwide. Due to continued growth they now require 3 Tooling Maintenance Engineers OR Trainees to join their well-established team.

The prime responsibility of the Tooling Maintenance Engineer is to ensure maximum up time of injection moulds across all manufacturing departments, perform PPM’s, troubleshoot and attend breakdowns.

Key Responsibilities

? Ensuring tools and ancillary equipment are maintained – servicing and diagnosis of production tooling issues

? Analysis of tooling failures and component quality issues to include investigation and assessment of tooling

? Breakdown cover and tooling transfers both internal & external

? Compile tool specific and general work instructions to aid PPM procedures

? Supervision of stock spares and consumable items updating line management as required

? Liaise with sub-contract toolmakers re: tooling repair or refurbishment

? Provide an out-of-hours service to cover emergency requirements

Experience/Skills Required

? Toolmaking apprenticeship is crucial for this role – happy to take someone fresh out of apprenticeship

? Ideally a background within a plastic injection moulding environment

? Computer literate

? Able to diagnose Tooling & Hot Runner Systems faults

Ideally coming from a plastic injection moulding background, this role would ideally suit a Toolmaker who is now looking to move into a more maintenance focused position OR a Toolmaker newly out of their apprenticeship looking to secure a role within a world leading company that can offer extensive training in a maintenance role.

Working a continental/panama day shift (6:30am – 6:30pm), in return our client are offering a very competitive salary and benefits package including a 7.5% contributory pension, paid overtime and relocation package (when required). This position is commutable from Gloucester, Banbury, Oxford, Cirencester, Stratford upon Avon, Coventry, Worcester, Redditch, Warwick, Daventry and Swindon.
