Role overview
Reporting to the Head of Business Information Systems, you will lead on the design, development and management of Clients SharePoint 365 environment and associated technologies. An enthusiast and advocate for the effective use of new and developing technologies, you will play a key role in driving and enabling business transformation through the development of Clients SharePoint capability to maximise the provision of intuitive efficient services to internal and external customers.

Strategy and Product Roadmap
Roadmap lead on the development and ongoing maintenance of the SharePoint roadmap ensuring alignment with the business and IT strategies
Business Alignment ensure our SharePoint roadmap enables and supports our business ambition and customer needs while maintaining a flexible and low maintenance environment
Stakeholders work closely with a with a wide range of business stakeholders and IT resources to understand business requirements and translate into intuitive efficient customer focussed solutions
Innovation/Consultancy be aware of emerging product capabilities and provide expert insight on how they can be harnessed to enable and support new and improved ways of working

Delivering Change
Business Transformation - play a key role in driving and enabling business transformation through the development of Clients SharePoint capability
System Development - proactively manage the evolution of the platform, bringing value to the business through the use of features, maintaining the roadmap and the compiling business cases for suggested improvements
Change Management - play a key role in supporting the effective delivery and embedding of SharePoint related change into the business to deliver greater value enabling new ways of working
Knowledge Transfer - develop and grow Clients SharePoint capability through ongoing knowledge transfer to the IT resources and business stakeholders to help maximise its business use and value delivered
Integration lead on integration with other systems and data sources to facilitate improved business processing and management
Migration and Consolidation - plan and lead the migration and decommissioning of all existing legacy SharePoint environments

Service & Performance
Operational Support - establish and develop an effective support capability within the Service Delivery team to enable the resolution of customer issues in the shortest possible timeframe.
Specialist Support - provide specialist operational support for the environment liaising with 3rd party partners to escalate and resolve issues in a timely manner
System Health - monitor and maintain the overall health of the environment and related services, working with the Infrastructure Team to ensure high levels of performance and availability

Knowledge and Skills
Expert - be our go-to lead for SharePoint 365, current best practice and emerging technologies
Knowledge maintain in-depth knowledge of the administration, implementation, configuration and customisation potential for SharePoint
Skills proven hands on experience of:
Enterprise collaboration
Enterprise content management
Enterprise search
Work automation
Knowledge management
Records management
Effective UI design
Security configuration and management
Integration with on premise and cloud based solutions
Extranet creation and management

About you:

Significant recent knowledge and experience of the following is essential:
Working with business stakeholders, design and deliver solutions that are intuitive, simple to use and low effort to maintain
Designing, developing and delivering SharePoint 365/Online based solutions including customisations
Agile software development and delivery
Managing, maintaining and troubleshooting complex Microsoft SharePoint environments
Strong UX/UI design and development experience
Information security knowledge and awareness
Working with mixed in-house and external teams
Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to articulate ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences

A good understanding of technologies including:
SharePoint 365 (including Management Shell)
Web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript and jQuery
Win7 and 10, IIS, SQL server, Active Directory, SSRS, Azure
O365, Dynamics 365, Power BI
APIs/web services

Knowledge and experience of the following is desirable:
Presentation of real-time BI including dashboards
Search presenting unified search interface to multiple back end information repositories including on premise and cloud based data sources
Developing and supporting integrations and interfaces between SharePoint and other applications/data sources

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Non-negotiable skills:
The candidate has to be a strong communicator. Translating business requirements into technical language, and supporting BAs on occasional client meetings.
Practical understanding of governance challenges of maintaining environments is essential.
Sharepoint 2013 is a minimum requirement. Idealy Sharepoint 2016 365 - around 2 years' experience.
Need to see evidence of coaching/training a team on their CVs as the successful candidate has to be proficient in developing the team around them.

Extra pointers:
Split between office and client visits is about 80-20 respectively. Most of the client-facing requirements will be covered by the BAs, but Client want to be confident that they can put the successful candidate in front of a client with no issues.
Not looking for someone purely development-focussed, but for someone who sees value in configuration.
