THE POSITION:

We are currently working on behalf of a market-leading creative design agency to source an experienced business developer to join their team. Working within a niche market, they are looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable individual to use their expertise to drive revenue growth.

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for creating sales opportunities with new and key accounts, exploring options with customers and securing sales through excellent rapport building and customer service. You will work closely with the management team to develop sales strategies and explore new markets, as well as playing an active part in company activity at industry exhibitions and events.

The successful candidate can expect to earn up to £40,000 in year one, as well as a generous holiday allowance and flexible working.

This is a great opportunity for a candidate with drive and personality to bring their creative flare and sales accumen to new markets.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Business development activities, both office and field-based, to secure clients in the target market
* Using a consultative sales style to ascertain client need and secure their business long-term
* Keep an overview and give a steer on short and long-term sales strategies to deliver growth across all territories
* Focus on developing and optimising current clients, as well as developing new clients
* Have close and hands on involvement with additional sales activity such as attending industry events
* Working towards set sales targerts

REQUIREMENTS:

This role is ideally suited to a confident, results-driven individual with previous sales experience within a marketing agency. The following attributes are also highly desirable:

* Experience with both public and private sector clients
* Be a relationship builder with proven customer service skills, people management skills and exceptional interpersonal skills
* Consultative sales approach with a focus on quality
* Autonomous self-starter with an exceptional work ethic
* Flexible approach to meet company needs
