Due to expansion, our client an Accountancy practice based in Worcester requires a Semi-Senior Accountant ideally with at least four years practice experience (slightly less practice experience will also be considered). They offer the opportunity to progress within the company over time and also study support, subject to negotiation.

Essential Duties (in order of importance)

·Preparation of annual accounts / Financial Statements (for an array of small to medium-sized limited companies, partnerships and sole traders), to extended Trial Balance stages, during which regular client contact is required, as with all other duties listed below.

·Preparation of Trade Profit / Loss Computations.

·Preparation of Corporation Tax Returns, VAT Returns, Self Assessment Tax Returns and all relating Computations, Companies House AR01 Returns and general other Companies House matters.

·In performing the above, the candidate will require suitable experience within IRIS Practice software and Sage software. Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.

Position Specification

·At least 4 years practice experience. Lesser years' experience will be considered.

·Qualification preferred by not essential.

·Strong financial accounting systems and legislative Financial Reporting Standards experience and knowledge.

·Strong communicator - written and oral.

·Excellent planning and analytical skills.

·Ability to work autonomously and prioritise workload in alignment with the business priorities.

·Proactive team player and have the confidence to gain credibility across the practice.

Permanent, full time (37.5 hours per week). Flexitime available.
