Data Manager (Data Governance, Master Data, Data Quality)

This is a really exciting opportunity to join a leading business in the education sector, who have an international presence. As the Data Manager, this position is integral to shaping the company's strategic business requirements.

Client Details

The client are one of the largest providers of education services in the world, with a global reputation for excellence. Expanding their presence in Sheffield, they are opening a brand new office, which includes their Data and Analytics team. It is a genuinely exciting time to come on-board with this multi-national business, as they continue to be the go-to organisation in their industry.


This role is responsible for ensuring data quality, monitoring data integrity and taking responsibility for data governance across the UK business, as well as leading a small team of data specialists. You will have ownership of all data management process relating to the company's commercial databases.

As a company that generates enormous amounts of data, this is an opportunity to become a subject matter expert in this sector, as well as developing solutions for more innovative data management that will drive the continued success of the overall business.


They are looking for a driven individual who can communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.

You will need an excellent understanding of ETL processes, and ideally come from a background in Data Governance, Master Data Management or Data Quality.

You will be involved in managing the day-to-day activities of the data validation team so previous people management experience is highly preferred for this role.

You will be passionate about data, have excellent attention to detail as well as possessing strong commercial awareness in order to contribute ideas about data strategy.

It is expected that you will keep up to date with tools and technologies for data validation, database development and data quality.
