Full-time (37 hours), for a permanent position.A new exciting opportunity has become available for a dynamic individual to join the Information and Communications Services team at our client.As a Systems Developer, you will be involved in all stages of the application lifecycle. The main focus of the post will involve developing and improving IT systems that support customers and services

The main duties include:

• Improving online services by developing software based on user feedback and agreed requirements.
• Implementing assigned projects, including defining, documenting and building user interfaces and system integrations.
• Leading on system upgrades, applying fixes/patches, scripts, test plans, amending software and the management of the technical setup of systems and online supporting services.

You will have excellent working knowledge and demonstrated improvements using web technologies and the application of the .NET framework

Main Duties and Responsibilities Take responsibility for the complete system development lifecycle, including analysing user requirements, design, development, integration, configuration, testing and documentation for a range of systems/programs, as assigned by the Technical Services Manager Ensure all work is documented using the appropriate development and security standards, using methods and tools. Documentation and delivery should take full account of specified requirements and constraints.

Implement assigned development projects, including defining and building user interfaces and system integrations.

Apply data integrity, analysis, modelling and integration techniques. Provide database administration in live and test environments, including developing system reports.

Producing and implementing technical specifications, test plans and test scripts for new and amended software or services using agreed methods and standards. Reviewing test results and modifying test, if necessary

Develop and evaluate prototypes to obtain user feedback on requirements of developing systems. Ensure systems adhere to applications style guides, guidelines, standards and legislation

Prioritise, diagnose, escalate, document and resolve assigned incidents and problem management calls into the Service Desk including (where required) with third party suppliers, according to agreed procedures

Lead on assigned systems upgrades and applications fixes/patches, including testing and sign off with key stakeholders as part of the ITIL Change and Release Management process.
