Founded in 2013 with the aim to provide software solutions to the removals industry, we have connected over 40,000 customers with 100’s of our trusted removal partners, turning what used to take days into just minutes.

We initially developed buzzmove.com which is Europe’s leading price comparison for all moving related services. In March 2017 we launched gobuzzsurvey which provides removal professionals with an efficient method of carrying out remote surveys through live video chat.

Key Responsibilities

    Assist in building strong financial reporting, integrity and discipline across the companyEnsure all financial transactions including invoices, purchasing, expenses, and cash are accurately recorded, and adequate controls are enforced across the companyAssist in preparing monthly management accounts and information for internal stakeholders as well as for our Board and prospective investorsSupport with ongoing budget preparation and forecasting across the business functionsBuild robust credit control /debtor management processes as well as implement ongoing working capital management and financing planning processesReview and reconciliation of monthly premium, claims and cash bordereaux.Review and reporting of insurance accounts for the Managing General Agent (MGA)Set up the insurance accounting processes, systems and controlsContinually monitor controllable SG&A costs, and prepare and review trend reports with individual management headsAdminister banking processes and monthly payroll as well as administration of tax returns (VAT, PAYEand Corporation Tax)Processing sales invoices, receipts and payments on Xero.Keeping company accounts, working on Xero account which includes general ledger, sales ledger and purchase ledgerChecking company bank statements, filing – Payments for suppliers / PAYE / VAT – Bank Reconciliation – via XeroPreparing quarterly VAT Return to HMRC.Petty cash and expensesControl Accounts preparation for VAT, PAYE / NI, WIPFollowing month end proceduresCredit Control procedures, reporting to Directors weeklyResearch and Development workings and calculations for HMRC claimWork In Progress preparationCash flow analysis and forecasting, reporting to Directors each weekBudgets and forecasts and monitoring to actuals, reporting to Directors each weekManage and communicate regularly with Outsourced ProvidersInvestment funding processes / applicationsWeekly KPI reportingReview and reconciliation of monthly premium, claims and cash bordereaux,Review and reporting of insurance accounts for the Managing General Agent (MGA)Set up the insurance accounting processes, systems and controlsEnsuring the commissions receivable and claims paid are accurate each month
About you

    Min 4-5 years relevant experiencePreference will be given to insurance industry experienceExperience working with Xero or similar softwareQualified – ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent, Qualified AAT would be appropriate levelFlexible, ‘can do’ approach to workStrong organisation and time management skillsConfident communicatorPrevious experience working within small businesses would be a bonusAbility to prioritise workloadsHighly level of accuracy and attention to detailCommercially mindedExceptional analytical skills and very detail orientedConfident Excel, PowerPoint and Word skillsExperience using software solutions including accounting software packages or able to learn quickly on how to use these toolsA powerful communicator with a collaborative approach and the desire to contribute across the businessHard working and willing to break through challenges to meet tight deadlinesComfortable negotiating contract terms with suppliers and clients
