Office Depot has an exciting opportunity for a SAS Platform Administrator / Developer to join the team in Milton Keynes. The role is a full time, permanent position offering an excellent salary and benefits package.

Your job as the SAS Platform Administrator / Developer:

You will be responsible for Office Depot’s SAS platforms that drive the organisations’ Campaign, Marketing and Business Intelligence initiatives. You will pro-actively collaborate with business and IT teams to optimize and continually improve SAS usage.

Your responsibilities as the SAS Platform Administrator / Developer:

- Technical accountability and ownership for the SAS platform installations/deployments, on-going maintenance and support

- Adequately solve technical incidents and problems, managing customer expectations, within agreed service levels

- Scheduling, monitoring, logging and troubleshooting SAS servers & processes

- Be the bridge between the SAS users and the IT organisation in terms of delivering a robust, scalable platform

- Drive the modernisation of the current SAS platform in-line with our overall Marketing and Information & Analytics’ strategy

- Be the point of contact for our relationship with SAS Institute to ensure that we are continually leveraging our technology investment

- Create and deliver internal training courses as required

- Be responsible for establishing a SAS Community of Practise to drive best practise and promote knowledge sharing

Your profile as the SAS Platform Administrator / Developer:

- A desire to help establish a world class marketing platform to deliver the best possible Customer Experience, utilising best in class enterprise and open-source technologies

- Extensive administering SAS 9.x platforms

- Extensive SAS programming and development experience including ETL automation, SAS DI Studio & Enterprise guide

- Experience with the SAS Campaign Management suite: Marketing Automation/Customer Intelligence Studio, Marketing Optimisation

- Strong Linux/Unix skills

- Experience with SAS upgrades & migrating content to newer SAS versions

- Good knowledge of data warehousing

- Broad knowledge of RDBMS systems, e.g. DB2, Oracle, Teradata

- Experience with Hadoop platform and frameworks desirable, but not essential

- Strong communication and project management skills

- Strong customer focus and customer awareness, is a good listener

- Excellent prioritizing and problem solving skills
