Are you a recent grad with a 2:1 or above in Marketing, Business Studies or related degree?

Are you looking to gain commercial experience with a leading advisory body offering a 12 months fixed-term contract?

Can you sell, generate interest and communicate with senior management?

Do you hold a current UK driving licence with no more than 6 points?

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious, intelligent individual looking to build experience within a marketing and membership function, tasked with fulfilling a member engagement, recruitment and retention role.

Supporting the Regional Director, the main focus will be to create and sustain the planned growth in membership and improved member engagement in Yorkshire & the North East whilst increasing regional event success.

Main duties will include:

Membership Development:

• Take a key role in building the membership community in Yorkshire & the North East through improved recruitment and retention initiatives, working closely with regional and HQ teams

• Using the CRM system and a variety of communications tools, put in place effective strategy and mechanisms to grow and retain membership and improve the ‘community feel'

• Communicate with members and potential members including establishing personal relationships to recruit or retain members and add value to the membership proposition

• Sell, and proactively retain, membership through face to face meetings and telephone calls

• Use initiative to seek out new avenues for potential sponsorship for regional / national events and liaise with the Regional Director to turn these into actual sponsorship

• Identify other income generating opportunities that are not limited to events i.e. newsletter advertising, branded collateral in regional lounges

Events:

• Work with the regional team to improve the member engagement element of events, and maximise the output from successful events

• Looking to neighbouring regions to cross market events, adding to the success of the company in the North and maximising the event opportunities for members to and non-members to attend an event

• Assisting regional teams with event planning and execution

• Preparing high-quality marketing materials, including writing copy for online and off line materials to promote our events

• Assist in producing digital marketing campaigns for our events and helping to keep our contacts database up-to-date

• Posting relevant events updates via our social media channels

• Supporting the monitoring and evaluation of our marketing activity, using Google Analytics and other packages

• Keeping up to date with the latest digital marketing platforms

• Working with the design team to produce marketing material for distribution

Candidates must have a relevant degree qualification with an interest in implementing the knowledge gained within sales & marketing into a practical setting.

Hours – Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm although flexibility may be required when travelling to other locations and attending events.
