Working closely with the LLP Partners for Residential and Commercial transactions, our client requires someone who is enthusiastic, ambitious and dynamic with excellent communication skills and an ability to get on with people.

You should be prepared to build relationships and understand the department’s key clients, the industry they operate in and the challenges they face.

As such, in addition to the conduct of property transactions, it will be necessary that you are a team player who can demonstrate leadership as well as contribute towards the growth of the department. This may involve participation in marketing events, seminars and generally being able to work with minimum supervision, building on your experience.

They have the opportunity to become involved in the development of the department with good work and commitment being rewarded through progression within the firm generally.

Qualification, Experience & Knowledge
• Law degree or equivalent qualification and hold a current practising certificate
• Solicitor with LPC/PSC completed
• Ideally 5 years relevant experience advising on residential property transactions and be able to hit the ground running
• Familiar with sales, purchases, re-mortgages, buy-to-lets, leasehold transactions.
• Ideally familiar with new build transactions, including shared ownership schemes
• Experience and expertise in supervision and management of a team consisting of both legal professionals and support staff
• Competent in reporting and delivering management information to Partners and be well versed in legal advancements and standards
• Thorough knowledge of a case management system
• Experience of writing articles aimed at clients and/or for PR opportunities
• Experience of delivering small group workshops and/or seminars on Property topics

• Thorough knowledge of property law and practice
• Ability to handle contracts and property work with limited supervision
• Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team
• Ability to balance priorities and co-ordinate work effectively in order to meet deadlines and deal with volume workload
• Shows understanding of clients’ needs and tailors advice appropriately
• A team player who can demonstrate leadership as well as support colleagues
• Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, email and case management/time recording systems to produce documents and correspondence and to record and track progress of work
• Sound written and oral communication skills
• Ability to multi task and willingness to take instructions
