Device Lead (SMETS, ZigBee, HAN, DLMS)
A leading UK FTSE 100 provider of IT solutions and services are looking to hire a talented Device Lead (SMETS, ZigBee, HAN, DLMS) to join a rapidly expanding team in Cheshire, working on a major programme of work designed to completely change the way in which the UK consumes energy, at a very critical stage of the programme.
Responsibilities for the Device Lead (SMETS, ZigBee, HAN, DLMS):
* Execution of project deliverables; applying appropriate knowledge, skills, tools, techniques and practice at each stage and with effective stakeholder management
* Responsible for follow through and review of technical feasibility of changes to Communications Hub and WAN design and assurance and overall impact to service including clearly defining risk and mitigation
* Ensuring Service Providers designs comply with the Smart Energy Code and Licence
* Enable and knowledge transfer across the business and customers within expertise area
* Build Relationships with internal stakeholders, external suppliers and customers
* Authoring and reviewing technical documentation with eagerness and intention to understand detail on CH and SMWAN designs
* Providing and leading the technical assurance of solution and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
Experience for the Device Lead (SMETS, ZigBee, HAN, DLMS):
* Previous experience of working in the smart metering sector, Telecom Operators, Device Manufacturers
* Good technical knowledge of the Smart Metering Implementation Programmes
* Home Area networks, ZigBee, DLMS, Wide Area Networks
* Expertise in Operator WAN connectivity architecture including experience on deployment of wireless solutions
* Exceptional collaboration and stakeholder management through a full projects lifecycle, in a complex delivery and/or reporting environment
* Experience of working in a flexible, matrix and challenging environment
* Attention to detail and an analytical ability to solve problems and appropriately prioritise activities
* Excellent communication skills with an ability to explain complex concepts and ideas through visual models and engage non-technical audiences
