This role is on day shift, 6am-6pm 2/2/3 pattern, with some flexibility required depending on business need

Working with site colleagues to ensure the food safety, quality and legality is not compromised by observing, reviewing, auditing and assessing standards across site systems, processes and procedures. Where improvement is required ensuring action and corrective actions are raised and facilitating the completion and ensuring acceptance of outcomes across the site.

You will:

To ensure new RAGs / QAS templates are completed prior to launch. Documents must be accurate, appropriate to product and useable on panel to ensure appropriate quality is maintained.

Manage and complete taste panels on day and nightshifts. Ensure each member of the team understand the quality standards and ensure update copies of all standards are available for use.
Manage the buyback panels ensure samples are purchased, panel completed and documents updated appropriately

Highlight any emerging issues or trends from SOL & EOL. Investigate and ensure corrective actions are in place to ensure quality standards are maintained

Manage and attend off/on site customer PQI panels with QA Manager ensuring all issues are communicated back to the business and corrective actions are returned back to the customer within the agreed timescales

Work closely with the raw materials technical team on raw materials specification development to ensure alignment to QAS / RAG documents

To implement story boards into the factory using new visual displays, ensuring training is conducted

To act as first stage escalation point for food safety / quality / legality crises and emerging issues to support factory teams, investigate, determine root cause and to make appropriate changes to resolve

To conduct 1st party audits as part of the internal QMS requirement and to support 2nd and 3rd party audits as directed by Line Manager

To carry out day to day management of Hold, Reject, Concession and Non conformance systems

To support the Technical Raw materials team with non conforming materials

Support NPD trials, product launches equipment and process validation to ensure product is manufactured to the correct standard

To ensure that inaccurate and out of date procedures, documents and records are updated

To maintain a safe working environment for all employees in their area by supporting and enforcing standards as set out in the SHE policy

To apply you must have the following experience:

Customer Awareness/Service, IT Literacy, Planning/Manufacturing experience preferably within food manufacturing.
