Programme Coordinator – Engineering and manufacturing
Location: Northamptonshire
Salary: £35-50,000 + great benefits

The role:
Manage all programme material, engineering hardware requirements and associated documentation whilst minimising costs
Provide multiple stakeholders with clarity on specifications, timing and changes
Proactively identify and mitigate against programme risks, controlling updates & changes through the control system and SAP
Maintenance of the Specification Meeting document, within the ERP systems (SAP and PLC)
Add/remove hardware from the document as appropriate
Create strong relationships, quickly, building trust in the programme management function
Deliver difficult messages, honestly, in a way that allows progress to be made
Proactively manage all engineering material and hardware requirements, providing regular, accurate updates to affected parties
Ensure that the hardware that we need is available, when we need it, to the correct specification and quality
Add relevant information from DPS/PRS ECN releases
Lead the Specification Meeting and chase any actions resulting from it (i.e. outstanding ECNs etc.)
Create Build Requests derived from the Specification Meeting minutes, through the E&B system
Ensure the parts are available to support the desired power-unit specification and build schedule or adjust the specification if required
Feedback to Engineering where appropriate when parts are not available to meet the desired build schedule
Ensure that the BR and kit documents are kept in line with any changes.
Highlight concessions required in Engineering sign-off process
Co-ordinate the specification of Red Dot items
Act as a point of contact between Assembly and Engineering to resolve build quality, schedule and specification issues
Provide relevant power-unit specification data for each race
Support Development Spec Meeting plans and ensure that hardware is available for all tests (both dyno, rig and external)
The person:
Degree educated in an engineering or science based degree
Relevant programme management experience gained within an engineering, automotive or aerospace business
Ideally completed a strong Graduate scheme within a leading organisation and moved into a broad project engineering role
Strong SAP experience
Ability to work at significant pace without losing exceptional attention to detail
Build specification management experience
Demonstrable ability to build a very strong network across multiple functions. Manage expectations confidently and negotiating a positive outcome in complex circumstances
Working with Engineers and Engineering drawings as required ensuring spec requirements are satisfied so the ability to understand the detail is imperative
Planning, prioritising and organising – exceptional ability to manage others to deliver to challenging timescales, milestones and project plans
Computer literate (SAP knowledge, competent in Excel)
Communication – delivering difficult messages concisely and un-dramatically
Ideally Powertrain Build / Strip Experience (engines, HV electronic systems)
Resilience gained in a fast paced organisation where right first time is essential
