Ellisonpeople is recruiting for a Technical Support Engineer to work for a company based in Blackburn. Our Client is an established software solutions provider and we are looking for a bright and enthusiastic Technical Support Engineer to provide enterprise 1st and 2nd Level Technical Support via phone, email chat as required.

Your role will be to;

- Take ownership of customer issues reported and see problems through to resolution
- Research, diagnose, troubleshoot and identify solutions to resolve customer issues
- Follow standard procedures for proper escalation of unresolved issues to the appropriate internal teams
- Provide prompt and accurate feedback to customers
- Ensure proper recording and closure of all issues
- Record all communications and resolutions on Autotask

You will need to have;

- GCSE or above in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent
- Proven working experience in 1st line technical support
- Basic knowledge of Unix/Linux systems, utilities and scripting
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent client-facing skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Windows OS skills
- Excellent organisational skills
- Basic SQL skills preferable but not necessary-
