IT Support Engineer (Identity Management - IDAM)

LOCATION: Central London

DURATION: 12 Months Contract with the option for further contract renewals

DAILY RATE: Highly Competitive (dependent on candidate’s level of experience)

CONDITIONS: DV CLEARANCE is required for this position prior to contract commencement

Role / Project Information

Capita TRACS are currently supporting our client’s growth plans and a need has arisen for them to recruit an additional IT Support Engineer to join their team based in Central London.

You will be working as part of a dedicated and experienced Identity and Access Management (IDAM) Support team in maintaining and monitoring key components of the Services’ Identity Infrastructure.

The main objectives of the role are to ensure all supported components provide the level of availability and capacity as required by the service. You will be required to provide subject matter expertise in various areas and contribute to a continuous service improvement ethos within the team.

The role will also require you to provide technical support to various project streams and engage with external suppliers ensuring the service receives value from these relationships.

The key responsibilities of the role (but not limited to) are:

* Provide support to our Windows Active Directory and security infrastructure in our varied and growing IT environments;
* Liaise with other teams in both the Support and Project areas to progress and implement changes and tasks for all of these systems. Provide 2nd and 3rd line support of the Active Directory in all of our corporate environments as well as providing support for privileged User Account Management and the corporate IDAM solutions;
* Respond with 2nd and 3rd line support for incidents and IT service requests; take ownership of problems and resolve calls logged with the team. Assist with proactive monitoring and daily checks to avert incidents;
* Follow the corporate change process and ensure implementation of changes in accordance with processes;
* Help to maintain the integrity of the Identity Management services; follow industry standards and recommended designs and practices by vendors such as Microsoft;
* Due to the demands and fast paced environment there may be occasions to work outside of normal working hours in support of, for example disaster recovery tests or critical project changes.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for an IT Support Engineer who can work autonomously and well as part of a large team.

We are very flexible and open to who we bring onboard however skills and experience in some of the following areas are a good start:

* Minimum of 3 years+ experience and certification in administering Windows Server 2008/2012 environments;
* Experience installing, upgrading and managing Forefront Identity Manager/Microsoft Identity Manager;
* Experience of working with Two Factor Authentication (RSA), PKI/Certificate technologies. Working knowledge of PowerShell and experience in developing automated processes;
* Experience administering DNS, DHCP;
* Good working knowledge of firewalls and network protocols;
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
* Ability to effectively adhere to project and work timelines/schedules;
* Knowledge of system security, system integration principles and technologies;
* Disaster recovery planning and testing.
