An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Technology Sourcing Portfolio Manager/ IT Contracts Governance Manager to join a leading financial services organisation in Cheshire during a time where they are building up their sourcing function.

The role is responsible for IT contract negotiations and renewals (dealing with both small and large software deals in particular) and working closely with both sourcing and supplier managers.


- Responsibility for leading key IT supplier contract renewals, changes and re-negotiations

- IT contract governance sourcing leadership

- Proactively review and analyse the existing IT supplier base to identify category efficiencies and savings through consolidation and rationalisation

- Look for opportunities to reduce the supplier base

- Build strong relationships for senior IT stakeholders

- Proactively work with the business to ensure procurement policy compliant behaviour

- Manage the IT risk profile

- Support the legal deployment in software products

- Develop strategies and controls to mitigate risks

- Ensure relevant audit actions are tracked and completed

- Review and manage Contracts Database

Essential Criteria

- Experience across sourcing, operations and supplier management

- IT knowledge

- Effective communicator, collaborator and influencer

- Degree qualified OR relevant professional qualification e.g. CIPS

- Change Management experience

- Analytical skills

- Strong stakeholder management capabilities

- Contract management

Desirable Criteria

- Working within financial services

- Software licensing knowledge
