£30,000 to £40,000 DOE + 24 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays + Up to 3% Contributory Pension + 1x Salary Life Assurance + Training + Progression

Monday to Thursday 07:30 to 16:30

Friday 07:30 to 12:30

Process improvement engineer required for a leading manufacturer who are one of the best in their class. This is an exciting opportunity for a process improvement engineer to join a people focused company who are willing to develop their employees via fantastic training and progression opportunities.

This role would suit production / process engineers from ANY manufacturing backgrounds such as offshore, automotive, rail and mining. Candidates from a subcontracting background will hold a considerable advantage however this is NOT essential. The role is 100% mechanical so candidates will need a basic understanding of fabrication and welding. The company will be bringing in robotics so candidates with any experience will hold an advantage however this is NOT essential.

This role is equally split between the shop floor and office as the successful candidate will be responsible for developing and improving existing processes. The company are looking at implementing lean techniques to do this so any lean experience will be advantageous however 5S and 6Sigma training can be provided.

The company have witnessed a growth of 50% over the last year as a result of increased business from new and existing customers. As a result, the company are introducing new products so the role will also begin to focus on introducing new products too.

The role will involve working closely with customers and suppliers to ensure all improvements made fit in with requirements and the process runs as smoothly as possible.

The role will also involve an element of design as you will be expected to both read engineering drawings and get involved in the design of smaller fixtures up to robotic cells. Experience with design engineering is NOT essential as the company can provide CAD training.
