Lead Security Specialist – Global Insurance Provider – London/East of England

A highly respected, leading, insurance provider is seeking a Lead Security Specialist to join their expanding team. The Lead Security Specialist will be responsible for managing a team of professional and dedicated information security analysts. You will be working alongside business and technology teams, in order to provide specialist security advice, conduct security risk assessments and ensure solution designs comply with security standards and policies.

Key Accountabilities

·Responsible for maintaining the security framework and methodologies, and technical security guidelines and standards

·Lead and develop a team, providing services to different markets and locations

·Develop and manage activities for the implementation of technical security standards and best practices, on a global level

·Identify security risks, and raise them with the appropriate risk governance channels

·Develop and maintain a global security risk assessment community, with regular forums

·Ensure timely remediation of vulnerabilities are identified by working closely with the Technical Security Operations team and Digital teams

·Maintain a register of consultancy and risk assessment engagements, alongside appropriate reports

Key Requirements

·Ability to influence IT and senior business leadership, and engage with all areas of information security, including security policy and standards adherence and remediation management

·Thorough understanding of technology and business operations with an excellent knowledge of information security

·Work closely with technology change, in order to facilitate the secure delivery of change in support of business objectives

·Strong understanding of security administration tooling and processes

·Hands-on experience of conducting security risk assessments, managing security incidents and projects and experience in an advisory capacity, providing consistent and accurate advice

·Prior experience of engaging with all levels of management, and communicating complex technical issues
